SUMMARY: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports directly to the Port Madison Enterprises (PME) Board of Directors and is responsible for the day-to-day executive leadership and management of PME. The CEO will continue to build an organization dedicated to delivering and selling exceptional services while ensuring that revenue and profit goals are achieved. The CEO will focus much of his/her attention on driving business development, sales and further economic development for the Suquamish Tribe. The CEO has final authority over personnel including hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations, planning, business development, budget approval, Internal Controls of gaming operation, and general operational authority.

DUTIES: Under the direction of the Board the CEO has direct responsibility and accountability for all PME enterprises including general review, oversight, management, promotion and profitability and day-to-day operations. Prepares and presents financial, operational and budgetary analysis and recommendations for continued improvement of operations efficiencies and financial profitability. Responsible for the planning, funding and development of future PME business enterprises. Provides an environment that motivates, coaches and mentors employees to perform at their best. Performs market research, business plans development and analysis, evaluation of technical and other information to determine feasibility and economic impact of proposed developments. Negotiates with banking institutions, contractors and other vendors to ensure economic success of PME operations. Fosters strong working relationships between the Tribal Council, the organization, and local and regional Economic Councils, Chambers of Commerce, developers, corporate leaders, business owners, and citizens. Works with tribal attorneys, Gaming Commission staff, and PME Board of Directors to ensure all state and federal gaming regulations are followed and required reports and other documentation is completed in a timely manner. Develops PME Annual Plan for submission to Suquamish Tribal Council, as directed by PME Board of Directors. Establishes current and long-range objectives, plans, and policies, subject to approval by PME Board. Provide the energy and guidance necessary to motivate staff throughout the organization. Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication to promote a sense of participation and involvement. Dispense advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies and PME Board approval. Demonstrates knowledge with gaming and hospitality industry's concepts, practices and procedures. Supports operations and administration of PME Board by advising and informing the Board members, interfacing between the Board and staff. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to staff. Counsel and/or discipline staff as needed, through clear, calm and direct oral and written communication, in accordance with the guidelines established by PME. Promotes Core Values, Mission and Vision. Other duties as assigned by supervisor, within scope of position.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field required. Masters Degree preferred. Five - eight years supervisory/management experience required. Experience may be substituted for education.
