SUMMARY: Responsible for identifying and resolving all telecommunications and computer network and security issues in an effort to ensure that PME's network operates at an optimum level of efficiency to support the business needs. Assists in directing and coordinating activities concerned with designing, acquiring, installing and maintaining computer hardware and software for the company in conjunction with the IT management team.

DUTIES: Monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes the network servers and resolved hardware and software problems that pertain to the LAN/WAN and remote access. Maintains documentation for all network servers to include the implementation of a report maintenance program consistent with company and vendor standards. Implements system designs; maintains an up-to-date reporting system and delivers telecommunication custom reports to management on a regular basis. Insures documentation of network servers, network application configurations and support solutions are documented in both the Help Desk and Knowledge Base software to enhance quality of problem resolution. Designs, administers, tests and monitors all LAN/WAN security policies, procedures and physical security access. Assists in managing the daily activities including the internal PC network, PC maintenance PC support (including rights, security and systems groups). Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, managed and unmanaged switches, bridges, gateways, etc. Will investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures which optimize network efficiency. Contributes to the strategic planning with peers and upper management. Demonstrates an ability to enhance the organization's capabilities through acquisition and application of new technologies. Applies strict administrative and organizational controls to ensure continuous error free data and monitors and acts proactively in the management of network performance. Performs analysis to determine whether equipment should be prepared or replaced, additional equipment installed or newly developed equipment/technology acquired. Responsible for performing all voice systems administration and primary user support for PME locations including phone and voicemail new setups, changes and deletions as well as acting as the primary level of support for these facilities. Manages the PBX data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies, technologies, and documentation for multiple sites. Document and train end users on telephone features and functions. Complies with IT Internal Controls and Class III Gaming responsibilities. Provides documented and accurate budgetary analysis for network hardware and software acquisitions to the IT Manager for expense and capital expenditure to maintain fiscal responsibility. Insures documentation of desktop configuration and support solution are documented in both Help Desk and Knowledge Base software.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a thorough working knowledge of CISCO and Microsoft products. Possess a certification from Microsoft or CISCO, preferred; two to five years related experience and/or training/certificate(s); or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Two to five years working network experience preferred.
