General Position Summary:

Actively learns the day-to-day operations of all departments through hands-on training. Works cooperatively with all PME divisions' to include covering shifts, participating in training opportunities.

 Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Works with management team to develop a thorough understanding of sales to include all monetary transactions, deposits, profit & loss review, budgets, and loss prevention.
  • Provides Spectacular Service to all patrons and assists, as necessary, in resolving guest disputes. Seeks to project a positive image for Port Madison Enterprises.
  • Develops an appreciation and exercise practical application of all operating policies and procedures.
  • Attends conferences, workshops and meetings as assigned to keep abreast of current information and developments.
  • Maintains a productive climate and motivates employees to meet performance standards.
  • Ability to develop a sound understanding of personnel scheduling (labor), delegation, hiring and performance management
  • Follows all general company and department policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in Operation meetings as well as monthly inventory in conjunction designated management team member.
  • Must follow all performance management policies related to coaching and counseling employees which may include recognition, retraining, disciplinary action and/or recommend termination.
  • Assists staff as needed.

Secondary Functions:

  • Demonstrates a high level of teamwork and promotes positive employee morale.
  • Other task(s) deemed necessary by management.

Job Scope:

Performs job functions and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Operates from established Policies and Procedures, while adhering to all training requirements.

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

Intermittent depending on training

Specific Job Skills:

  • Proven supervisory experience
  • Ability to obtain a Food handler's Card and ServSafe certification
  • Able to work under stressful conditions
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to understand and learn business related math concepts (i.e., budgeting, labor scheduling, etc)
  • Innovative problem solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints
  • Expectation of working knowledge and experience with the game of golf
  • Must have personal qualities of high integrity, trustworthiness, honesty, dedication, and loyalty

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.  A college degree is preferred.  A requirement of the position is to possess the ability to attend, complete and, pass any necessary training or school as determined by the PME Board or Management.

 Job Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with customers, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be available to work any shift (to include all hours, weekends, and/or holidays as job duties require).
  • Must be able to lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Physical ability to access all areas of the property applicable to your position.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, climbing and twisting without restriction.
  • Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to use computer systems and applications to include MS Office.
